Minimum of 8 year's shipyard experience as a supervisor in ship repair and new construction. This includes supervising pipefitters and pipewelders in the steel fabrication and installation areas. Proven marine pipe experience from fabrication to installation and testing. Must have working knowledge of Piping Systems particular to the marine industry; working knowledge of ABS welding procedures particular to Piping Systems on board vessels. Salary $60-70K. Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills with experience in establishing and maintaining budgets, preparing fee proposals and meeting deadlines. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience. | Tender Coordinator, Umbilical Tenders |

Read and comprehend umbilical scope of supply and technical requirements from customer and generate summary documents for defining the technical and project requirements in a concise and logical manner. Provide technical exceptions or items to clarify to the Business Development Teams. Participate with Business Development Teams on development of response to clarifications, tender submittal, post-submittal clarifications, etc. Develop umbilical cross section drawings by coordinating cross section requirements to umbilical designers and performing cross section calculations per customer specifications. Review and develop technical descriptions of the umbilical systems to be compliant with company standards and client requirements. Compile or compute project hours by obtaining input from the engineering, project, and production teams. Provide or verify equipment and/or testing costs associated with the manufacturing of umbilical systems. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering/ accredited university 4-year program, preferably in Mechanical Engineering. At least 2 years of umbilical project experience. Solid hands-on development of large tenders, preferably to an agency / department at the state or federal government level, or to large private-sector organizations such as multinational energy companies. At lease 1 year of estimating and tendering experience. Able to read and understand Request For Proposal (RFP) documents and requirements. Assertive, able to plan and manage work in an organized, efficient manner without extensive supervision. Demonstrates initiative by anticipating potential issues and problems that may arise during tender process, develops a plan to resolve such issues, and keeps manager informed about issue mitigation and resolution. Coordinate, develop, compile, and submit detailed information required to provide complete and comprehensive estimate of all labor, material, and subcontractor costs within a particular craft(s). Basic knowledge of all aspects of ship repair and conversion, including vessel types, systems and components. Knowledge of offshore vessels and drilling rigs a plus. Skills in repair and conversion estimating for ships machinery and systems. Skills in other ship repair and conversion disciplines are a plus. Proficient PC skills with spreadsheets in Windows software. Ability to maintain relationships with all levels of Company personnel, potential customers and vendors. Must be a self-starter, team player, thorough and organized. A two or four year degree in a business, technical or marine-related field; a minimum of five (5) years experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
